Ellis Gunter

Ellis Clyde Gunter, 75, of Watkinsville, died Wednesday in a local hospital. A native of Jackson County, he had lived in Oconee County for most of his life.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William Dean of Bogart; four sons, George A. Gunter, W.C. Gunter, both of Watkinsville; Ernest Gunter and J.C. Gunter, both of Bogart; one sister, Mrs. Bill Love of Atlanta; three brothers, Fred Gunter of Watkinsville, Roy Lee Gunter of Statham and Toy Gunter of Cummings; 21 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Bernstein Funeral Home. The Revs. B.C. Hogan and Ed Adams will officiate. Burial will be in the Bearden Cemetery. The nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
