Miss Murray Dies; Services Today
Funeral services for Miss Ida Murray, 91, will be conducted from Watkinsville Methodist Church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Charles Duffy and the Rev. W.E. Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Watkinsville Cemetery.
Miss Murray died at her Watkinsville home Friday afternoon after an illness of several weeks.
Pall-bearers are Frank Ashford, Henry Ashford, Ferd Johnson, Elmer Weatherford, Powell Veale and Lamar Clark.
The remains will lie in state in the church from 1:30 o'clock until the hour of the service. Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Marvin Threlkeld, Atlanta; eleven nieces, Miss Maude Thrasher, Mrs. Daisy Watson, Mrs. Ruth Durham, all of Watkinsville; Mrs. J.M. Austin, Mrs. Ruth L. Jordan, Miss Martha Lineberger, Miss Lillian Lineberger, all of Charlotte, N.C.; Mrs. L.J. Stovall, Mrs. D.B. Jordan, both of Atlanta; Mrs. Butler W. Andrus, Sinsburg, Conn.; Mrs. T.F Royale, Wadesboro, N.C.; seven nephews, L.O. Thrasher, Farmington, W.L. Murray, Monroe, J.E. Veale, Miami, Fla., P.B. Veale, Huntersville, N.C., T.M. Veale, L.A. Muray, William H. Veale, all of Atlanta; 22 grand nieces and nephews; and 22 great-grand-neices and nephews.
