J.A. Wilson Dies At Home Following Two Months Illness
Mr. John Anderson Wilson, aged 68, died at this home in this city on Sunday morning at four o’clock. He had been ill for about two months.
Funeral services were conducted from the residence at 11 o’clock Monday morning by Dr. E.L. Hill, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, Athens, assited (sic) by Rev. J.H. Wood, of the local Christian church.
Interment was in the Watkinsville cemetery. The pallbearers were Messrs. Robert Ashford, A.R. Branch, G.F. Ashford, Bruce McRee, C.C. Parsons, J.A. Osborne, C.B. McRee and H.T. Hodges.
Mr. Wilson was a native of Watkinsville, and was a prominent citizen of Oconee county. He was a brother of the late Mrs. E.H. Dorsey, of Athens.
Surviving him are his wife, three daughters and two sons, and other relatives.
