Services Were Held Today At 1:30 For John H. Donaldson
Funeral services for John Henry Donaldson, husband of Mrs. Laura Donaldson were held at Bernstein's chapel today at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Hugh Eberhart officiating. Mr. Donaldson died Saturday afternoon at 6:20 p.m. at his home, 826 Madison Ave., following an illness of one week.
Burial followed at the Bogart, Ga. Cemetery with Bernstein Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Pall-bearers were George Stephens, Cliff Farmer, E.D. Newton, M.G. Conway, Henry G. Williams, and Frank Martin.
Mr. Donaldson is survived by J.A., his wife; foud (sic) doughters, (sic) Mrs. J.A. Cook, Athens, Mrs. M.H. Conway, Athens, Mrs. Clifford Farmer, Atlanta, and Mrs. George Stephens, Atlanta; three sons, Evan E. Donaldson, Athens, William H. Donaldson, Jacksonville, Fla., and Elmo Donaldson, U.S. Army, 13 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Clara Jordon, Atlanta.
Mr. Donaldson was one of Athens most highly respected citizens. Formerly from Habersham county, Ga. he has lived in Athens for 28 years.
