Lunis E. Saxon

Lunis E. Saxon, 69, of Watkinsville, died Saturday morning in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Mrs. Ethel Barnett Saxon.

Funeral services will be held from Bernstein Chapel today at 3 p.m. with Rev. E.N. Anthony officating (sic) assisted by Rev. R.O. Few.

Burial will be in Beardon Cemetery

Mr. Saxon was the son of the son of the late John Saxon and Mattie Marshall Saxon.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Marshall T. Saxon and James Erwin Saxon, both of Watkinsville, and Edward Mayne Saxon of Athens; a sister, Mrs. C.C. Few of Columbia, Ala.; and five grandchildren.

pall-bearers (sic) will be Otis Huff, John Giles, Walter Pritchett, John William Pritchett, Jimmy Adcock, and Dan Landers.
