Mary Clair Marable

High Shoals - Mary Clair Barnett Marable, 85, of 1340 Peacock Drive, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1992.

A native and life long resident of Oconee County, Mrs. Marable was married to the late Andru Vern Marable and was the daughter of the late William David and Mary Hester McGaughey Barnett. She was a homemaker and member of Bishop Baptist Church.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. today at Oconee Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. Marion Prather officiated. Burial was in Bearden Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, William Zed "Bill" Marable, Madison, Robert S. "Bob" Marable, High Shoals, and Andru Verne "Andy" Marable Jr., Bishop; seven granchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family requests that donations be made to the Bearden Cemetery Perpetural Care Fund, Oconee State Bank, Watkinsville.
