Miles Culver Dies At Home In Oconee Co. Today

Funeral services for Miles Culver, 66, well known Oconee county man who died at his home on the Monroe road this morning after an illness of one week, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o’clock from Ross’ chapel with the Rev. Curtis Hogan officiating.

Mr. Culver was a native of Putnam county but had lived in Oconee county for more than 25 years. He was one of the county’s best known farmers.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nettie Culver; five daughters, Mrs. A.J. Ford, Mrs. Frank Ford, Mrs. Frank Hammonds and Miss Irene Culver, all of Bogart, and Mrs. Richard Stevens, Griffin; four sons, Joseph Culver, Statham; Wilson Culver, Winder; David and Lloyd Culver, both of Bogart; nine sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Roberts, Commerce; Miss Katie Culver, Atlanta; Mrs. Joe Stinchcomb, Winder; Mrs. John Jackson, Bogart; Mrs. Tom Roberts, Winder; Mrs. Annie Mae Williams, Eatonton; Mrs. Taylor Davis, Eatonton; Mrs. Maggie Collins, Statham; Mrs. Fred Stewart, Whatley; two brothers, G.W. Culver, Cornelia, and Frank Culver, Whatley.

Interment will be in Ross Chapel cemetery. Clyde McDorman funeral home in charge of arrangements.
