Mrs. W.F. Phillips of Farmington, Dies
Mrs. W.F. Phillips, 84 years of age, died at her residence, Monday, May 14th, at 7:45 A.M.
The funeral was conducted at Hardigree cemetery Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. The Rev. E.L. Shellnut, pastor, officiating. Interment following in the Hardigree burial ground.
Those acting as pallbearers were Messrs Lamar Robinson, Garland Thrasher, Ernest Elder, Otis Phillips, E.W. Jennings and T.E. Hale.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Christian church. Her husband is among the leading planters of this section and her family is well known througout (sic) the county.
Surviving Mrs. Phillips are her husband, W.F. Phillips; five daughters, Mrs. J.T. Robinson, Mrs. S.H. Thrasher, Mrs. J.O. Fambro, Mrs. F.E. Hale, and Miss Oconee Phillips, all of Farmington; three sons, Mr. H.B. Phillips, Boston, Ga.; I.C. and W.H. Phillips, of Farmington; also thirty-five grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
