Death Takes Mr. W.L. Roberts at Oconee Co. Home

Mr. William Lee Roberts, 32, died at his home in Oconee county Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock after an illness of eight days and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bethabara Baptist church. The services were conducted by Rev. Charles Tidwell and interment followed in the Bethabara cemetery by McDorman-Bridges.

Surviving Mr. Roberts is his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Roberts, Oconee county; four sisters, Mrs. Lester Cary, Griffin; Mrs. George Roberts, walton county, and Misses Annie and Ruby Roberts of Oconee county; six brothers, Robert Lee, Huby, Roy, Lonnie and Jessie Roberts, all of Oconee county and John Henry Roberts of Walton county.

Born in Oconee county, Mr. Roberts had spent the last 12 years there. He was a member of the Baptist church since early childhood. He was well known in the community and had many friends in Athens who will regret to learn of his death.
