Mary, Irene, Martha and Ruthan Wise

The daughters of Williamson Patterson Wise and Irene Minish, who lived in the Bumcombe District of Clarke County at the time of the 1850 and 1860 censuses. They are, from left to right:

Mary J. Wise, born June 26, 1851, died November 1, 1924. She married Burrell W. Hancock April 29, 1894 in Jackson Co., GA. Hancock was born September 24, 1848; died April 25, 1925. Both are buried in the Holly Springs Church Cemetery in Jackson Co., GA.

Irene Wise, born November 12, 1858, died March 9, 1960. She married Lewis Jackson Garner, Jr., son of Lewis Jackson Garner and Mary Bagby. He was born August 11, 1850 in Forsyth Co., GA and died February 19, 1929. Both are buried in Blount Co., AL.

Martha Melvina (Matt) Wise, born March 10, 1837, died October 10, 1927 in Jackson Co., GA. She married Frederick Parks Henry October 20, 1866 in Jackson Co. He was born December 25, 1837 and died November 15, 1916 in Jackson Co.

Ruthan Louisa Wise, born July 3, 1856, died October 24, 1946 in Oconee Co. She married Thomas Jefferson Jennings December 20, 1874. He was June 14, 1852 in Clarke Co., GA and died August 8, 1918 in Oconee Co., GA.
