Mary A. Wood

In the name of God Amen.

I MARY A. WOOD of the County and State aforesaid, being advanced in years and knowing that I must shortly depart this life, deem it right and proper in respect to myself that I make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me. I therefore make this my last Will and testament.

1st I desire and direct after my death that my body be buried in a decent Christian like manner suitable to my condition and circumstances in life. My soul shall rest with God who gave it. I trust and hope for eternal salvation through merits of atonement of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

2nd I desire and direct that my husband WILLIAM W. WOOD have a home on the place on which we now live during his natural life.

3rd I desire and direct that at the death of my husband WILLIAM W. WOOD that my son JAMES EMORY WOOD have our home in the town of Bogart Ga where we now live, as I have never given him anything as I have my other children.

4th I desire and direct that my son JAMES EMORY WOOD have one feather bed, mattress, 4 quilts, two sheets and one dressing case also 30 acres of land which I own in Jackson Co. Ga also one sixth interest in and to 160 acres more or less of my other lands in Jackson Co. Ga

Before me personally appeared J. D. Wall named as a witness to the within writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Mrs. Mary A. Wood who being duly sworn deposes and says that he with W. J. Dobbins and J. M Doolittle did on the ___ day of ___ attest as witnesses the within writing in the presence of Mrs. Mary A. Wood who in their presence voluntarily signed the same and published it as her last will and testament and that the said Mrs. Mary A. Wood was at the time of signing of sound and disposing mind and memory; that each of said witnesses signed said writing in the presence of said Mrs. Mary A. Wood and in the presence of each other and at her special instance and request.
