I JOHN CALVIN JOHNSON of the County and State aforesaid being of sound mind and disposing memory do make ordain publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all Wills by me heretofore made.
Item 1st I commend my sould to God and my body to my children and frinds to be buried in a very plan manner.
Item 2nd I wish my just debts paid.
Item 3rd I give and bequeath my Gold Watch to my GrandSon JOHN CALVIN JOHNSON.
Item 4th I give and bequeath unto JOHN CALVIN BARNHART Son of JOHN E. and ANNA BARNHART of Greensboro Georgia fifty dollars to buy him a watch.
Item 5th I wish and so order that the balance of my property and estate real and personal be equally divided share and share alike between my three children, JAMES M. A. JOHNSON, JOHN WALTER JOHNSON, and MATILDA ANTIONETTE SWIFT, by sale either for cash or on a credit at the discretion of my Executor, or by an equal division, the respective share of Son JAMES M. A. JOHNSON and my daughter MATILDA A. SWIFT, I give to them in Trust for their Sole and Separate benefit and use, not to become disencumbered of the trust, unless my daughter should become a widow or my Son JAMES M. A. JOHNSON should remain continuously sober and free from intoxication for three years and I hereby request the proper Court or authority to appoint trustees for them to secure their property for their moderate use.
Item 6th Should I not collect the dividend that may come to me from the Security Life Insurance and Annuity Co. of New York, I wish it equally divided between my daughter Mrs. M. A. SWIFT and Mrs. ANNA BARNHART, wife of JOHN E. BARNHART of Greensboro, Ga.
Item 7th I hereby nominate, Constitute and appoint my Son JOHN W. JOHNSON, Executor of this my last Will and Testament.
In Witness Whereof I the said JOHN CALVIN JOHNSON have hereto set my hand and affixed my Seal, this the twenty-sixth (26th) day of November Eighteen Hundred and Seventy nine (1879).
